ChatCoach (“the App”) is designed to keep your relationship reminders and conversation notes on-device. When you request AI message suggestions, the App sends a small snapshot of the contact information you entered (and recent conversation history) to your suggestion server to generate results.
ChatCoach helps you remember to reach out to people and provides conversation suggestions when you request them. Most data stays on your device. The only time data leaves your device is when you tap Generate to request suggestions from your backend service.
ChatCoach stores the following information locally on your device:
Contacts you add: name and optional phone number
Reminder preferences and schedule
Conversation history you save in the app
App settings (such as theme preferences) and Premium status flag
ChatCoach stores data locally using on-device storage (SwiftData).
When you tap Generate, ChatCoach sends the following to your suggestion server:
Contact details you entered (for example: name, category, age group, gender, interests)
Your selected vibe and optional reply-to text (if you paste one)
Up to the last 20 conversation entries for that contact (direction + text + timestamp)
This information is used only to generate suggestions.
Backend location: [YOUR BACKEND URL or DESCRIPTION] Note: If your backend is remote, it is accessed over a secure HTTPS connection.
Contacts Permission
If you choose to import a contact, ChatCoach will request Contacts permission. ChatCoach reads only the name and phone number and only for the specific contact you select. You can manage this anytime in iOS Settings.
Notifications
ChatCoach schedules reminders as local notifications on your device. You can manage notification permissions anytime in iOS Settings.
Delete Your Data To delete data for a person, delete the contact in ChatCoach. This also removes:
Their saved conversation history
Any pending reminder notifications associated with that contact
You can also delete the App to remove all locally stored App data from your device.
Tracking & Analytics ChatCoach does not include third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple via the App Store. ChatCoach does not receive your full payment details. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this page from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page.
